Firstly i deeply regret on giving out my phone number to those surveyor on the MRT station who approach me to do survey few years back.

Now Last few month i've been receiving multiple property agent spam advertisement from their server. I manage to block all of the contact number with only one left without a number just a name which i'm unable to block.

The name which is "oneSLP" which is a property spam every single weeks. i tried to block this profile. But i'm unable to block. So is there a way to block this profile on my phone? If you have a similar case like mine & manage to block. Please let me know.

Haven't you heard of the DNC registry?

https://www.dnc.gov.sg/index.html

Simply register your number there and all these spam messages and phone calls will disappear after a month. No marketeer will risk hefty fines to send out those spam messages to you.

Not true. I registered the day it became available yet i still get spam from money lenders. Tried to report to PDPC but as expected there is a ton of bureaucratic red tape & basically they need tons of sh*t from u before they will even look at your case. In short, the DNC is a joke & the PDPC is a bigger joke.

IMO the biggest culprit are lucky draws. Thats why i never bother taking part. Many companies use lucky draws as a way to obtain sales leads. Some dont even do the draw, i.e. Its a scam just or entice u to drop your name without there ever being an intention to give prizes.

Think about it, the last time u took part in a draw, did they actually publish the results somewhere visible? Most conveniently say "winners will be notified by post" or email of what not. So what guarantee is there, that a draw actually took place with some lucky ppl actually winning?

Dnc and pdpc are useless wayang tools of the govt.

Tried it and my problem became worse off.

Got spams on a daily basis from moneylenders and credit lending companies.

They are very brazen, opting to use overseas numbers to spam msg on ur phone.

Cant do anything abt it but best not to reply them, let it die down

Most of the local numbers are prepaid card numbers that were registered using foreign workers ID. Some of the foreign workers could have left Singapore already. So nothing that the authorities can do.

not really.

I used to get spam calls from random numbers, they would speak with a VERY heavy accent, sometimes caucasian, sometimes indian, sometimes chinese, it varies a lot. But it ALWAYS came during office hour lunch times, around 1pm, ALWAYS this timing.

So i took down all their numbers, I emailed DNC, they forwarded to the police, the police gave me "cant do anything" etc. etc.

But after that email, no more calls, that was almost a year ago, til this day, still none. But I do get the occasional property spam, but that's like once every 1-2 mths so i don't really bother.
