iPhone servicing, A.Lab or QCD better?

May go down coming weekend. 1 at Wheelock, 1 at PS, not to far away from each other.

Any comment on the service? Which one friendlier?

need to have my iphone 5 repaired as well:
- 3g/lte chip died (full restore to 7.1 doesn't help)
- faulty power button

was thinking of going to A.lab tmr as this is near my work.
but I'll wait further comments here.. thanks

I think QCD is fine, except that they weren't very helpful with my faulty iPad 3 when the speakers didn't work. Yes, it was beyond 1 year without AppleCare, but given it's wifi only (hence I don't bring it out) and I don't use a case with it, there weren't any sign of damage at all (read: mint), LCI not activated as well. They were reluctant to do anything for me to repair my iPad. I even offered to pay for a repair, but they said it wasn't possible (okay so that's something new I just learnt that iOS products aren't repaired, they're always refurbished). I kept insisting they do something for me (after all, they ARE the Apple Authorised Service Centre).

In the end they phoned Apple Australia hotline, and I restated my case with them and the CSO said he'd authorise a 1-for-1 replacement for a refurbished unit. It made my day.

had my iphone 5 (2012) warranty replaced at a.labs
sleep button not working and 3g/lte chip is busted.

new or refurbished set is fine for me.
but I cant distinguish the serial number if refurbished

I have not been to QCD, but I went to ALAB recently and the experience I had there was great. I made an appointment beforehand and arrived at the appointment site 15 minutes before and got my queue number. I was told the waiting time was 20 mins but within 10 mins i was served. The service was good and clear and the staff definitely tried her best to explain the terms and conditions and even mentioned the fee that we had to pay if we damaged the iPhone we loaned from them, instead of dismissing it and not telling us the actual price. I noticed that people who booked an appointment were all served by the same counter staff which is good. I would highly recommend ALAB but remember to book your appointment maybe a week before because if you decide to book last minute, the slots are all taken up.

QCD better cust service experience compared to A Labs.

QCD was better. Send my macbook pro to aLab for battery replacement under warranty and got a dent on the top lid. Requested for a replacement and they said they can't do anything.
