iphone w/ singnet email?

Hi x0fff8,

what errors are you getting? I'm using Singnet on iphone also. Sometimes a bit "crazy" with their network, but generally no problems.

You created a new account in your iphone? Settings should be as follow :

Host Name: pop.singnet.com.sg
User name: ur id
Password: your password
SMTP: mail.singnet.com.sg

the rest i think i never change anything.

must configure manually, pop.singnet.com.sg/smtp.stm.com.sg.

otherwise you can always go down to comcentre somerset... surely can settle.

General Settings > Mail > Others
keyed in everything.. looking up account...

It says.. THE POP server "pop.singnet.com.sg" is not respondinG!! wth?
I have full bar wifi connectivity atm

does anyone here uses singnet email? i have configured it the way i do in windows mail.. but somehow it just refuses to work on the iphone...

searched around forums, and google... no luck

anyone with luck setting up their singnet mail account to their iphones?

I've no problem setting it up on 2 iPhones, 2 iPod Touches & 1 iPad.

Here are some settings :

Incoming Mail Server
Host Name : pop.singnet.com.sg
Sever Port : 110

Outgoing Mail Server
SMTP : mail.singnet.com.sg
Primary Server : mail.singnet.com.sg
Host Name : mail.singnet.com.sg
User Name : Optional
Password : Optional
Use SSL : Off
Authentication : Password
Server Port : 25

It may take a while for it to authenticate & set it up, so be patient.

Thanks for this but I don't seem to be able to specify the incoming mail port.
Its rather irritating, since I could receive for a few days, then today it just gives me the "pop.singnet.com.sg is not responding" message...

I can still recieve off my iMac, but just not on my iphone.

Yahoo, hotmail are all fine.

Are you on iPhone 4 with SingTel network?

Apparently iPhone 4, despite with the Apple Bumper would lose signal or telco connectivity when the signal bar shown 3 bars & 3G...

I reckon that it is the hardware problem... don't face this kind of problem with on my 3GS

That might be it, lousy reception...

Deleted my account, and tried again, and I got it...

I could even get mails in Beijing...

tried setting w/o SSL also didnt wk.

How about the Port did you change to 25?
