If I buy iPhone then never open but turn on to see display for dead pixel and off, will the warranty be activate?

Information for anyone who still don't know:
1) If we pre-order from Apple website and paid using CC, the warranty 1 year period start date begins on the date of the invoice. Same thing if you wait till 60th day to buy AC+, start date of AC+ begins on the date of the AC+ invoice. So basically you have "2 months additional" warranty on top of the additional 1 year that AC+ gives.

2) If we buy from retailers such as Harvey Norman, Challenger or iStudio, the set is not activated. AppleID not signed in. Turn on see display for dead pixel, switch off. Warranty does not start.

Bad thing is, don't have 14 days 1-1 return policy. Any scratches/dead pixel, once you leave shop after paying, they'll refer you to Apple shop. Apple will give you a new set with non matching s/n to your original box.

3) Buy on carousell from those who sign line off telcos. Usually if can wait, within 2 weeks, prices from these sources will be cheaper by $50-80. But then again, 50-80 is a negligible sum. If signed out from physical telco shop and they want you to activate, then wty has started. If its delivery to popstation, then wty shouldn't be activated.

True blue Apple fans would want to own the latest iPhone from launch day, DAY 1. Just order from Apple website tonight 9pm. iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Can confirm on this? When enquire with Apple Retail staffs, all of them claim that the AC+ will follow the device purchase date.

I tried tested on Airpods Pro, 2 sets at different points of owning them. AC+ did indeed start on date of AC+ activation.

I forgotten on the iPhone 11PM did it start 2 months later or on the date of purchase of iPhone.

Actually, I can don't buy for iPhone as I never drop my phones before. Moreover within 1 year I will sell.

Except maybe this year I might buy for iPhone as presumably I will keep this Pacific Blue color and not sell it next year.

But Airpods Pro each time I will buy AC+, coz its an unsolved static noise problem worldwide.

apparently no longer the case.

https://www.apple.com/sg/support/products/iphone/

"AppleCare+ for iPhone extends your coverage to two years from your AppleCare+ purchase date1 and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage protection every 12 months."
