If you can wait, why not? Unless you really need a new phone now. Don’t forget the current X is a 10th anniversary iPhone so it’s like a special edition. Newer successors to the X this year are just improved models with a possible larger screen as well.

I can’t decide for you for can only give you suggestion. If I were you, I’d get the X.

Larger screens may not work for everyone. An anniversary model is something that I can keep even in future when I don't use it anymore, usually I'll just sell away and purchase a new one.

There's no ending to improvement and upgrades, but an anniversary model is a deal breaker for me, at least.

The waiting is never end . U Wan just get , don’t wait . Waste time waiting and waste your contract period by delaying another few months

If you recon now, the price of subsidies phone doesnt give you a lot of savings as you can buy from many channels now at much lower prices.

New upcoming phone in Oct will be Expensive (near retail price) and the contract will reflect the true subsidy you get and older phone X will be cheaper.

My advice: Get the new one in Oct. Even if you dont plan to use the new one and going to use X, why not wait until the new one come out, get it with contract, sell the new one, get the subsidy and buy older X at cheaper price? This is purely on economic value perspective.

Apple will be holding an event next week, think is around 1am 05 June, go check out their website.

Likely they may post about new iOS coming this Fall or even any new phone that may be coming.. just wait a few days.. if No and you not in hurry for a phone, why not till sept or Oct, where they usually have another even just targetting iphone?

Wait. There will be two larger variation of iPhone X 6.3" and 6.5" coming out this time. U do not want to rush into buying iPhone X and regret. IPhone X body dimensions will usually need to take some time to get used to it / for people to accept it as not everyone can accept the seemingly "smaller" size compared to the handphones now.
Due to its narrower width, not everyone is satisfied with the iPhone X in their initial phase.
Unless u are not into large displays

Correction. There will be 3 type of iphone release this year. A follow up version of the same iphone X this yr with 5.8in Amoled display. The 2nd is a 6.5in Amoled display iphone plus, The last is the budget 6-6.1in LCD display iphone.

It was said the current 8/8 Plus will be the last phones to use Touch ID. This year onwards, all will follow the current X's footprint.

Not sure if they will launch a second gen SE, but hard to say also.

Exact same sentiments. I've re-contracted my CIS plan during Singtel's launch event for the X so will be sticking to it for 2 years. When I get my new iPhone next year, the X will still be with me. Even as of now, I'm still using my jet black 7 Plus as it's a gift from my wife.
