Bought an iPhone X. Without putting in any Sim card, the default carrier after setting up is U Mobile (Malaysia).

Is this possible or is this phone a Malaysia set?

If you have bought it through the telcos and/or when they need to activate your iPhone X with a SIM Card, the staff might have used a ‘blank’ or not in use SIM card which is from U Mobile.

Thus, even after removing it, it will still remain that SIM status, and putting another SIM card in will change it.
