IPhone XR with wireless charging question

Hi,

I recently bought a xiaomi wireless charging for my iPhone XR and I noticed that whenever the iPhone was fullly charged over the night, it will not stop charging as confirmed at battery charging graph. However this problem does not happen with wired charging. As I’m new to wireless charging may I ask whether is this normal? Thanks

iPhone design is full till your battery drain.

Never heard the phone can be stopped after its fully charged.

even the original wall plug comes from original box.

Wired will stop, especially for iPad. Many iPad are used for commercial and that’s why apple design it so.

But same to iPhone and MacBook.

Wireless charging I am not sure wor.

I'm quite sure it is fine and also your device does not really stop charging at 100%. Anything past 80% will have iOS device trickle charge means it does so in a slower rate and even if it reaches 100% then discharge a bit and charge back up to 100%, repeating that process until the device is unplugged. Doing so allows devices to maintain an optimum charge.

Also the graph does show that it is still charging by the stripped background in the battery level graph. I see on all my devices (iPhoneX & iPad Pro 11_, cabled or wireless charging to always be in charging mode even at 100% so yeah trickle charging is in play here

2) is a fast charge wall socket required? (Not the one that comes free). Which brand and model?
3) last (but not super important) if want to add Apple Watch 4, which model of the wireless charger?

I would recommend that the best product to go with is still those that Apple sell in Apple Store. Since they test and would be fully compatible. Belkin is one of the trusted third party brands.

On Apple Store, there is the Belkin Boost Up Wireless Charging Pad. Seems pretty good and it already supports fast charging. Experience wireless charging using the Qi wireless standard, which delivers up to 7.5W to your iPhone.

If you want something that can charge watch also, there is the Belkin BOOST↑UP Wireless Charging Dock for iPhone + Apple Watch. Looks pretty sleek but price also much higher haha.
