I think they just dropped the price?

Even Lazada still selling at RRP less discount which is higher than Apple store.

I bought at rwm frequently and saw they repackaging them into sealed sets once so they are not actually brand new sealed if u don't mind
A few times quality really disappointing. Could find a tiny bit of cosmetic flaw. If don't scrutinize won't notice anything. For that few hundred dollars off is ok to me

Wow, like that also can. Very dishonest lei

That's why when I buy an Apple product, I just pay upfront from Apple and not anywhere else.

The savings is quite a lot at redwhitemobile.com. But to seal it themselves is quite jialat. No wonder ppl always complain they plug in then warranty already activated

Its not really a scam. They’re brand new telco sets which have to be opened upon purchase. So those buyers sell to such shops, and the shops will seal it back and sell as ‘brand new’.

That’s the price to pay, you either recontract and pay telco or you buy from Apple at full retail. Best is to buy it off the person who recontract immediately before they sell.

There's actually different batches... It all depends on how you pass it on to RWM. Eg. You recontract at Singtel open up box to check no scratches, then when you sell it to them as a new set, they have to reseal it. I have recontracted at M1 and told M1 I don't want to open, so sold them as sealed set.

If you're a regular customer, you can see people selling to them either sealed or unsealed.

Unsealed sets also may already have been activated as you may have turned on the set at the telco before passing it on. They usually hold the set for no longer than 2 weeks.

All this is transparent and declared at the time of purchase so you should weigh the loss in warranty by up to two weeks VS the hundreds that's discounted off the retail price. This is purely your luck... Sometimes you get a non activated set, sometimes a day old, sometimes a week old... But it is up to you.... You can always pay full retail at Apple.

With regard to the flaw, the 3 or 4 XRs I bought from RWM were flawless. Again, depends on how the person recontracting at the telcos check before passing it on to RWM.

The other third party shops also work similarly for iPhones.

I only buy Samsung products from ah beng shops like red white mobile and Kasia mobile.

For Apple I rarely buy from them. I think the only Apple product I bought from Kasia mobile is iPad Pro 12.9 2018 512 GB space gray (Cellular) version cause that time I wanted it and it cost like only $2k as compared to Apple store $2,239. That was a brand new set never open before cause the warranty wasn’t activated yet.

I did open upon purchase and the first set have dead pixels, 2nd set don’t have. Best to open on the spot to check for defects.

I guess it's random see your heng suay. Some people recon from telco and try play around it for a day or two before selling to grey shops as brand new
I bought xs Max gold from rwm before definitely can see and feel it is not brand new like apple retail shops
The sides of the gold rim is dull in color which explains it is used and the hand dirt and sweat made the sides dull
When hold and touch the sides of the phone, the sides feels plasticky and not smooth full of fiction, again a sign of being used for a while already
I bought brand new xs gold before so i know the difference
Brand new one not used sides is very bright and not dull
When touch the sides also not feel plastic and full of friction
Again the one i bought from rwm when i scrutinize can see a very tiny bit of paint drop
Before buying i know already not expecting totally brand new so my expectation not very high

I think buying from Apple have it's advantages for that 14 days return period. This is only exclusive to official Apple stores
