Hey guys, any of you guys know why youtube only allowed up to 720p when you are not on wifi?

If we are on wifi, does it actually allow you to change the quality of the video to 4K?

I found out on my 6 Plus there is an option to change it to 1080p on wifi, but my 6S only got 720p ?? What happen? Isnt 6 plus and 6S screen resolution same just that ppi is different?

6 is 750p screen
6 Plus screen is downsampled to 1080p.

6s de screen can output 750p but then YouTube can always up it to 1080p if they want to..
But then you most likely won't be able to tell the difference..

There are 3rd party YouTube apps that can force 1080p though.. like https://appsto.re/us/arDb4.i

I mean, for now, if i go youtube on my 6s, i can only get 720p videos? I tried some of the 1080p videos link on my 6S, i can only get 720p.

but if i uses 3rd party, i can force 1080p. I understand this.

You said earlier on 6 Plus can change 1080p but 6 can only change to 720p means YouTube put the limit lor..
