It will definitely cause lens flare. Those separate 3 piece type will have lesser lens flare compared to those 1 piece type, but the camera base isnt protected, i have friends that also scratched the camera base despite pasting the 3 piece type

Had an Onyx for the 12, it was a perfectly fine case. Nothing to complain about for 20 bucks. It looks like they’ve added grippy sides to the Onyx for the 14s, which should make a good case even better. Caudabe is the more atas option and the Sheath I had was grippier all-around, compared to the Onyx. The side lips were a little loose, so fit and finish was a bit disappointing, especially for a case that cost 2x the Onyx.

Magsafe magnets on the Synthesis are very weak compared to the Sheath.
