It is more for a piece of mind. Depends on whether you want to pay ~ 15% for that piece of mind or not. It covers everything until 24 months which is already very good

There’s a chance but rarely happens. Apple is using DHL and Yamato for their courier. They can deliver till late into the day even till 12am.
