Just bought a i6. Seems like I got a problematic one.
It heats up when I'm using it!
Have to bring to service centre to check it out?

Anyone experience same problem?

It is unfortunate but nobody will help you if you are not sparing enough to let us in with more details of your issue.

However, it is best to just go back to the store and have it tested there.

Depends on what app u r using. Playing games like rival Knights, my iPhone heats up until can fry eggs liao

Using iOS 8.1.1 n just surfing edmw n the phone heats up.
Whatsapp running in background. That's all

Use the phone for about 5 mins then start to heat up

I advise upgrading to the latest iOS 8.1.2

After doing so,

1. Reset all Settings (Settings > General > Reset > "Reset All Settings")
2. Apply this but ignore [ 8. Turn Off Location Services ]
3. Reset your iPhone.

Report your findings after doing so.

Things have improve as advised by Paul. Phone no longer get that hot when using it. Still a little bit of warmness when used for long. But is is better than before.

Is it advisable to drain the battery totally n then charge it to further improve upon the solution given by Paul?

You may refer to this page and read up more on battery life.

In short, it is NOT advisable to drain the battery to 0%.

I bought 2 iPhone 6+ (64GB & 128GB). My wife was using the 64GB version and complained about it getting warm only after a while. She does not play games or run any OS intensive app. She simply surf the net and use WhatsApp. I had no such problem with my 128GB version.

So I felt something was wrong. Went to A.Lab @Plaza Sing. Technician couldn't find any problem through their diagnostic test. He reset it and told me to monitor. Problem persisted.

Then, I went to ComCentre. The CSO did the same thing - reset. Asked me to return if problem persisted. It did. I returned the 2nd time and got 1-1 exchange for my iPhone 6+ 64G due heat issue.

Now no more issue.
