iPod Touch (5th Gen) does not support Digital AV Adapter?

Hi guys, I'm trying to mirror my iPod Touch (5th Gen) to my TV.

As I have an old iPad also using the 30-pin connector, I bought below items so I can mirror both my iPad and iPod to my TV.

But seems like it can't work.

The iPad can mirror without problem.

But when I connect the iPod Touch, it says "This accessory is not supported by this iPod touch".

Means I cannot connect it this way? Doesn't make sense to me.

What about this one then?

Both cable/adapter I bought already cost $90+. Shucks.... Can top up more and buy Apple TV already?

Any one knows anything? Please help. Thanks
