One very important qns i get confused after googling other threads.

My birthday is in June and i cleared my second year NSF ippt in August 2012 and i Orded in March so from now to june if i take ippt as NSMEN do i get any incentives and counted as 0th year??

Last qns, if CAT 1 before i report can i just dont turn up? And if during ippt cat 1 will it be cancelled or depends on the pti or can i just walk off if they want to wait? Any consequences for not turning up after booking?

Should have and should be 0th year. Call ns.sg to double confirm.

You won't know if it's cat 1 unless you have SAF system. IPPT will take place no matter rain or shine. If you default on 3 bookings, you will be barred from booking again for that year.

Hey, i had the same question as you earlier. Called ns.sg hotline and they said it is optional to take. However, if you do meet the standards, you will get the incentives monetary award. It is considered as NSmen 0th year.

Yup it's consider year 0. That's equivalent to extra allowance too. Just go and take.

By the way, how long does the whole ippt takes? Especially for Khatib FCC.

From registration to end of ippt?

I am only able to book on Saturday and would like to know the duration as i have some other commitments in late morning to evening.

Hmm that depends on the the amount of people taking on that day. I too took at Khatib FCC before, lasted 1.5hours ++

1st year i cleared with PPT2, 2nd year again, i cleared with PPT2. from the website it says the PPT will progress with the years? which means this year i need to clear PPT3? am i right?

aiya this kind of thing very hard to give an accurate estimate...


depending on your tag number, your detail may start early or late so your duration will be affected.

the number of people attending will also affected the duration.

and the FCC also got peak season... eg. the 2nd saturday morning in june may have a lot less people than the 2nd saturday in december.

lol... even your 2.4 timing will affect what time you can go...

With effect from 6 Oct 2012, the reporting timings for RT and IPT sessions on Saturday afternoons have been adjusted to: RT - 1630 hrs and IPT - 1700 hrs. Please report 15 minutes before the start time.

Some people got locked out of the gate becuz they were late. So be early than just trying to be on time.

Oh... but normally wont drag more than 3 hours right?

Do i need to scan my 11b before i leave if i decide to leave after 4 static stations?

By the way regarding the detailing for 2.4, i saw somewhere somebody wrote that it is according to last digit of NRIC? So if my last digit is zero, will i be first detail or last? Thanks!

also in the event that i fail is it possible to take RTs at SAFRA Tampines as it is more convenient

Pls confirm with PTI that u can leave after 4 static stations. If no, then complete the whole test, if not, attendance not counted.

All follow the number of the tag given to u. Go early means higher chance of getting a smaller tag number.

To be in FCC 15 mins before start time if weekend training/ippt.

If weekday, just reach at start time ok too. If late by more than 15 mins after start time, then up to them to see if they want to inpro u.
