Interesting. I don’t have IPv6 WAN Setting available. Are you running different firmware? Mine is 3.0.0.4.388_24231-gbc11d13.

You can ignore that. I am using Merlin FW. But it should not affect the working of IPv6.

thank you, using the potplayer can see some frames per few seconds. Still quite unwatchable though. (similar for for the ipv6.m3u and the 1080p.m3u8)

This kind of link changes very fast. To me it is not worth the efforts since you need to keep up with the changes from many sources.

The author just updated the repo and many channels seem to work pretty well, using PotPlayer, Singtel native IPV6 (not 6rd IPv6, not deployed to all Singtel customers yet).
https://github.com/fanmingming/live/blob/0f15d392f30cdd87310e6f2de0f1e938a139587e/tv/m3u/ipv6.m3u

Since the channels are mainland China channels, it is probably easy to uofficial apps/websites like 央视频 ( https://www.yangshipin.cn/#/tv/home ) and https://tv.cctv.com/ . Sometimes you may need to use China VPN or subscribe to VIP though.

VIP Pricing is acceptable especially you are into Sports channels. I am not using this though as I prefer Tencent TV.
央视频VIP:连续包月产品为18元/月,包月产品为30元/月、包季产品为50元/季,包年产品为178元/年

Thank you for testing & suggestions.
I can use some application for IPTV that can auto refresh the links so it's not that troublesome as long as author keeps updating the links. Then it's difficult to find back-to-China VPN on appleTV.
To me, this is the only use case that needs ipv6 where ipv4 simply cannot work. So I finally got a reason to try to get ipv6 to work. After some config, I think ipv6 is finally working properly (router getting RA from ISP, router sending RA to devices). If ipv4 is disabled from my pc, youtube and netflix still works well, but many websites, including this forum, don't work.
Then the IPTV is very choppy. So I assume M1 doesn't have good connections for IPV6?

Singtel 6rd IPv6 also works well with it.

For oversea, CCTV 5/5+/16 (sports channels) can't be used via 央视频 ( https://www.yangshipin.cn/#/tv/home ) and https://tv.cctv.com/.

for some reason most of the BGP routes for IPv6 goes through SingTel and you get the SingTel hairpin routing problem for free lol...

Even though both m1 and hurricane electric peer at SGIX, if your traffic has to go through HE over IPv6, you'll get routed to HK instead because it has to go through singtel before reaching HE.

If you hit up HE over IPv4, you'll connect directly over SGIX btw. :s13:

look at the super looking glass and filter with STIX's ASN (AS7473), you'll find almost 80% of M1's IPv6 BGP routes are through SingTel. :spin:

This is interesting.

So looks like native Singtel IPv6 (not fully deployed to all Singtel customers though) is the best consumer IPv6 you can get in Singapore now: /56 and better latency.

I am using Linksys EA7500v2 (no openwrt) as main router, can it be set up for Singtel native IPv6?

You can try it. Singtel Native IPv6 is not fully deployed to all Singtel customers yet. Native IPv6 is easier to setup compared to 6rd. Some routers may not even support 6rd but they will support native IPv6.

The following was my settings with Asus RT-AX86U. You can use your own IPv6 DNS as well (I am using 3rd party IPv6 DNS server now: Cloudflare family 2606:4700:4700::1113 and Quad9 2620:fe::fe)

BTW, you can flash your Linksys EA7500v2 to OpenWRT if you want more FW features and Singtel native IPv6 works with OpenWRT as well.

Under EA7500v2 IPv6 setting:
1. If I set IPv6-Automatic as "Disabled" and 6rd tunnel as "Automatic", IPv6 works.
2. If I set IPv6-Automatic as "Disabled" and 6rd tunnel as "Manual", IPv6 works.
3. If I set IPv6-Automatic as "Disabled" and 6rd tunnel as "Disable", IPv6 doesn't work.
4. If I set IPv6-Automatic as "Enable", IPv6 doesn't work.
So Singtel native IPv6 doesn't work for me?

Below IPv6 setting works for me:
Connection Type:Automatic
IPv6-Automatic: Disabled
DUID: 00:02:03:09:05:05:58:EF:xx:xx:xx:xx
6rd tunnel: Automatic
Prefix:
Prefix length:
Border relay:
IPv4 mask length:

In that case, it seems Singtel has not deployed native IPv6 to your region.

Other than "IPv6-Automatic", do you have things like "DHCPv6-PD"? The stock Linksys FW may not support IPv6 well. In fact, for Starhub users, the recommendation is to disable IPv6 if you use Linksys EA7500v2 and Linksys EA8100 v1.

It is strange that you do not need to carry out manual 6rd settings to get 6rd IPv6 to work. Maybe the router has already remember the 6rd settings when you switch from "Manual" to "Automatic".

IPv6 Protocol: IPv6 - 6rd
6rd Runner Type: Manual.Configuratuon
Prefix: 2400:d803::
Prefix length: 32
Border Relay: 6rd.singnet.com.sg (202.166.127.6)
IPv4 Address Mask: 0

Can you screenshot the internet settings page?

I looked for the manual online and it's properly useless.. :s13:

EA7500v2 stock FW doesn't have "DHCPv6-PD" option.

Yes, I just found 6rd tunnel "Automatic" is working fine for me:
