Oh No! Are the Li-Ions 3400mAh version????

no idea leh, i thought li-ion is li-ion, nvr ask about it.

If its from glo, yep they should be 3400mAh versions. Hate to tell u this, based on yours (& mine as well) usage pattern, it will fail to provide a full 2 cycle run after 4 months.

I hope their next generation scooba will have better battery included.

I don't dare to call irobot abt faulty battery, later they ask me to send back old one, including both way shipping charges, then i might as well buy a new one from usa.

Maybe you can just try to contact via email. Irobot sent me a new battery without need to send back the faulty one, but mine one is scheduler not scooba.

Wah then whats stopping people from abusing this?

The problem is u cannot use Vpost for this, since they wont ship batteries. Not sure about Comgateway and others ...

I dont seems to be able to get reply from irobot via email. I emailed them an enquiry some weeks back..till now still no reply...

Yup, Vpost wont ship battery. Perhaps my yellow 4xx series battery was the last battery that they shipped to SG! Why, becoz after that, they changed the rule from banning "li-on battery" to "all batteries". My bad.

But i am always wondering:

What is the risk between the 2 below:

1. A battery in a well-packed box, alone. - BANNED
2. A battery in an i-robot box together with machine - not banned

May I know what's the definition of 1 mission? Does 1 mission means fully used up 1 clean water tank in the scooba. Thanks.

Yup, Vpost wont ship battery. Perhaps my yellow 4xx series battery was the last battery that they shipped to SG! Why, becoz after that, they changed the rule from banning "li-on battery" to "all batteries". My bad.

My battery shipped via Comgateway, no problem, received it in less than 1 week. as suggested by mosmos last time, i key-in the description as "roomba accessories".

But i'm not dare to try Borderlinx though.

I would define ONE MISSION as finish using all the clean water in the scooba tank PLUS another approx 5 mins of running time for drying.

I already did as mentioned in an earlier thread. Though i've been using Li-Ion sometime back and have noted the advantages of using one, at this moment, i simply cannot recommend it for Scooba. This is especially so if yours is a 3400mAh Li-Ion. You will not achieve the benefits of more charging cycles. As a matter of fact, from Mosmos's experience, the original Scooba NiMh battery is getting more mileage than my Li-Ion. If u must get a Li-Ion, u can try going for the 4800mAh Li-Ion (i'm still contemplating, very pricey!).

yah sometime like that, after 1 mission it will stop by itself and give a check tank warning sound.

The check tank light only comes on if u start a mission with a DRY clean tank. A check tank light at the end or in the middle of the mission ONLY comes on when the DIRTY TANK is FULL, not when the clean tank is empty.

but my end of circle the clean button will flashes after that check tank will light up, the clean tank is also empty.

Correct but if u notice closely, Scooba still continues running even when clean tank flashes and stops ONLY when CHECK TANK lights up.
