Hi Saxman,

I keep fishes, changing a small container is nothing…. And I rather change water than mop the floors;) Every week got to find excuse to siam mopping, showed my wife my PES C2 (excuse lower limb) also cannot…

Guess I’ll go for the 340 to be safe. Any recommended sellers or someone you’ve bought from or other alternatives? Visited Amazon but its quite expensive compared to the others. Woot?

1. My 4-room flat has 3 bedrooms with laminate flooring, do I need extra virtual walls or should I just keep the doors close while the little bugger is at work?

I use 350 for my EA. You can use VW or close the door. It does not matter as you cant have it on auto like roomba

2. Any trusted sellers to recommend, with reasonable delivery, first time buying from overseas, and will appreciate any good recommendations. Rough check of ebay shows that a new Scooba 340 costs about US$300-340, is this about right?

I bought mine from irobot when they have promo...now also have promo code for 20% off and you can use the 3 diff shipper to ship to SGP as irobot dont ship outside USA

3. A little confuse here, Scooba doesn’t have the charging station, so how do I charge the battery? Do I have to buy a separate charger for the battery? (Found out about the charger already)

You just plug the power connector (looks like the old keyboard connector) into the scooba. Just need to get a transformer

4. A rough dummies guide to shipping will be much appreciated… Unless it’s from pages 1xx…. Never read so many pages in one night (did skip a little;))

As mentioned, vpost, borderlinx or comgateway...or someone to help bring in for you. :s8:

Try to get extra wheels if you can as they do wear out.

Most of yr Qs are already answered by others, so i'll just supplement a little:

1) Depending on the model u choose, 350 comes with 1 virtual wall and a 380 comes with 2. Virtual walls for Roomba 4xxx/4xx/Discovery series also works well with Scooba.

2) If u r going for a 340, just make sure u r getting an actual 340, not a 340 external box with a 335 bot.

3) Scooba 380 comes with an external charging base which gives u the option of charging the battery in the base instead of charging the battery inside Scooba.

Thanks all for your quick replies. Now looking around for a 340, so let me know if you have any good recommendations for sellers.

Already have a vpost account and trying to sign up with comgateway for the shipping. Which would be cheaper and more reliable?

comgateway will only work if u have a citibank card :D

why shall they sell cheaper if still got people buy? :s22:

I will do the same --> to sell something at the highest consumers would afford :D there is no competition what? so, why care to sell cheap?

Was there too. The salesman told me the demo set - Discovery 4200 is older model and they gave 4150 (silver...) which is newer.. :eek:

The 5xx series is much better than my 4xx series. will hoot 5xx series next.

the spare parts quoted:

4xx series battery: 150
4xx series brush: 15
5xx series brush: 18

Sale is not bad. Saw a couple purchased 560 for 938, they gave a free filter, also another bought the 4150. Sales is not bad.
