Sorry to hear of yr bad experience with Koolatron... most of the customer feedbacks 4 Koolatron are ok, though it has been noted that they are somewhat slow in shipping. I guess there must be some screw ups in communicating yr order to Koolatron via Amazon. At the end of the day, overseas order still involve an element of luck and risk. Its not like ordering fr a local company whereby u can drop by and clarify things should something go amiss :s16:

If u dont get yr RC, try posting in Roomba Review forum. There'll be users with spare RCs that can sell and ship 1 to u at a decent price.. :)

Thks for the advice. I am thinkin likewise. Juz my luck loh! But must show them some color so tat others will 'benefit' fr my action. :)

I had found one small secret. :s22:

The remote control from roomba discovery can be used on scooba!!!! :D

I wonder if scheduler remote can use on scooba? If possible, then can set timer for self mopping!!!!

And 1 more thing, when roomba was docking and charging at home base, the scooba kept knocking it until roomba lost charing contact. :(

I doubt the scheduling function works on Scooba but no harm in trying though :)

That was my concern with a Roomba and Scooba @ home, guess u should use a virtual wall to prevent Roomba being knocked off by Scooba. Despite both being products of iRobot, its funny why this was not taken into design consideration for Scooba :s22:

I got my refund thru my credit card!

For my other items from vpost, i paid on 13/8 and received today, 16/8. Super fast from Vpost. Kudos to them! My fast charger spoilt after a few days  . I had no choice but to bid for 1 fr ebay. Now happily charging my roomba... =:p How i wish the rapid charger cld arrive today to charge my spare battery.

The scheduling function wont work. However, the rest of the functions (eg. power off, move, turn etc) will work.

Vpost can be real quick if they want to, ever try paying on Fri and getting it on Sat 10:00am?! :s22: Most of the time however, its snail pace though :s8:

The RC is really useful, try getting 1 the next time. BTW, how did yr fast charger spoil? Modded or original?

My fast charger.... sad story, after i modded to 230v, i checked the voltage was 22v (ok). But when i plugged it into the home base, the green led blink a few times then KO. The 2 lights on the home base also blink! I tried many times & even posted on roombareview for repair tips also no use... Now, i wont mod again. I juz plug the new fast charger into the roomba & it is charging now! After all, i already hv the transformer (in fact, i bought 2 sets - one 100w & another 230W) for my scooba which is too ex to risk modding. :D Hence, if u want to mod, do it at a risk (no matter how careful i was, i also kena). :s27:

:o But now I found the remote control of not use. When out of battery under sofa, I still need to pull it out.

I would rather let it wander around than I control myself, lazy lah. :s13:

Very true indeed, its too costly to risk, a decent step down transformer will provide years of reliable operation. Come to think abt it, i believe the step down transformer also helps when there's an electrical surge. Possibly provides an additional protection for Roomba/Scooba power supply.

I tink vpost will ship our items to SG when there is 'exra' space in the cargo area. Then, after we make pmt, they will take a few days for admin work n send to you. Otherwise, how they cld send to u on Sat when u make pmt on Fri?

i thot it was resolved? sorry to hear tat. u juz need to keep on tryin loh.

My 'new' charger, ai ya, wat luc. :s13:

Qs for Scooba owners: How do u store yr Scooba when not in use? Upright or upside down? Do u charge the battery in Scooba or do u use a separate charging base?

upright, but i notice the 2 rubber wheel will become flaten. I afraid that upside down will damage the top round sensor. :s22:

i charge battery using charging base, lazy to open rubber cap to plug in charger. :o

my charging base was also plug into a timer plug, so set to 3.5hr then auto off.

mosmos, which Scooba model do u own? U bought the charging base separately? Any noticeable wear on the driving wheels and front wheel so far?
