Thats the standard capacity used for fully assembled Roomba battery. Vic has a DIY kit using 3600mAh Li-Ion cells for the Roomba.

The one i got form vic is 2800. See below:

"The Roomba batteries are 2800 mAH and the Scooba battery is 4800 mAH."

These batt are still for 4xxx series Roomba right? Seems that there isn't any for 5 series yet?

This is how my 3600mAh Li-Ion pack looks like ...

Got to DIY and solder the terminals and then drop the pack into a Roomba battery case.

Performance is superb so far. After an hour of working, the status of my Red is still showing green when it returns to dock. In addition, it fully charges 30 mins quicker than my original NiMh battery!

Not advisable IMO as i remembered someone used the 60W model of this and the transformer kept tripping due to overheat. In addition, this model requires plugging the unit directly into an AC outlet. Next, u plug your power supply into it. The weight and bulky protrusion from the AC socket may not be something that u want.

Believe Vic has one for the Roomba 5XX series. U can PM him to ask.

I checked before but it seems they are having problem with 5 series as the Roomba keep giving error codes. Not sure if this problem already solved...

wah.. how did it kaput? I modded mine, 1yr later still ok.. just the cover hard to close :s13:

Dont know why? After modded, i chked the voltage to be ok. When plugged in, green light lit bright and kaput. Asked in roombareview, tried many methods, even checked the opti sensor or wat almost checked all components which i know (diode, cap, resistors) all fruitless. In the end, got 1 used set fr eBay and use til now still ok. :o

Many ppl are ok, mine kaput. Guess bad luck then. :(

Received the Scooba 5806 (new) from Woot on 9/10/08. Surprise it is a white battery and charger. 1st time see white battery. Mine either blue or dark grey. The handle is plastic as compared to the reman woot 5800 which is metal. Looks great!

Strange (but it was shown exactly on Woot page which mosmos quoted a few pages back) that there is no pump provided. Those 1st time purchase scooba might face problem. perhaps use mouth to pump. lol =:p
