IMO its not worth sending it back for warranty replacement. If u notice about Singpost charges, its usually more expensive than sending the same item from US to SG via USPS. Assuming if u use Speed Post, i would guess that it'll probably cost u S$80 or more to send Scooba back. Thereafter, u still have to factor in the return shipment from US to SG. IMO, u are better off just getting another Scooba and use the existing one for salvaging spare parts from.

I have a Scooba bought from HSN.com which is not working now, but is still under warranty.
Anybody know how do I go about sending it back to US Irobot for replacement?

Anyone ever sent out for replacement before?
Able to use Singpost? Will it be a give away that the product was used outside US and have warranty void?
Roughly how much will it cost if I use other international shipper?

Alternative is if you are handy...troubleshoot what is wrong and get some spares from Roombaxchange.

Problem now is not confident of getting another Scooba, doesn't seems to last long.
Maybe I should have stick to Vinegar or pure water instead of putting in Magic Clean as solutions.

I have since stayed away from Magic Clean... the pump in my 350 died prematurely. I am now sticking to pH neutral cleaning detergent for my 340. Keeping my fingers crossed this time...

One thing about Scooba.. if u are using it on a daily basis, it looks like its not as hardy as a Roomba. 1 year or so is about it before it develops a problem. Be prepared for troubleshooting and dont spend too much on a new one IMO.

My 380, thanks almighty, is still going strong. Even using a 2nd battery now. :)

I feed it with kiwi kleen since day 1. Was about to switch to magic clean but lucky didnt...

Prhaps i am lucky, my 3 roomba discovery and 2 scooba are still able to perform! I got the extra sets for spare, instead they are working as main players! =:p

They are EXTREMELY useful now for the spring cleaning!

Read from roombaexchange.com and realise my Scooba's problems is actually stuck in the diagnostic mode. (Clean button contacts permantly ON)

Decide to bite the bullet and dismantle it. Turn out to be a successful operation.

What I did is peeloff the laminate stickers on the control panel (on/off , clean buttons)
On the sticker it contains the on/off switches. Using a pen knife, I slice through the clean button switch to break the contact on the clean buttons, now everything is good again.

If the above menthod doesn't work, my recommendation is to insert a piece of paper in between to break the contacts on the "CLEAN" button and use a Roomba remote control to operate it instead.

only hsn.com sell those models. :s22:

I think hsn.com no longer selling 340, the model they are selling now is 335. :s22:

Congrat on reviving your scooba! Perhaps it is not the magic clean which faulted your scooba but a mechanical failure.

Gong Xi! :)

335 battery is lower capacity run shorter, hence only covers 500sq ft, whereas 340 covers 850sq ft.

340 may run faster than 335. 340 = 380, 335 = 350.

You can try roombaexchange.com website, but they are not cheap.
