I am interested in either model 530 and 560 selling at irobot.com selling for $299 and $349.
HSN selling 560 at $349 also.

Anyone bought from irobot website itself instead of HSN? Any prob buying from irobot.com?

get the costco 550 which is much better than 560 for less than USD300. :D

My roomba gave me the 3 beeps error today...meaning Roomba stalled and likely cos of my bin...i was wondering what happen and took the bin apart again but everything seems fine. Then I remembered the problem started last Sunday after my wife accidentally activated my roomba for a mission but my brushes and filters are still outside drying! So the semi roomba went on and stop after a short time...did not think much of it until today...finally I have to dig further and take out the impaler..guess what? hairs were wound round the motor shaft! That's why the impaler stopped spinning as the motor will overheat....hairs will not reach this far by right as the brushes and filters will take care of that...a lesson learnt!

thats strange. my experience is the same as frankman whereby checkout was successful and even recieved email confirming the order.

only later then email abt cancellation comes. problem with this is once checkout, the 15% code is no longer valid if i place another order with another credit card.

ya they always cancel the order..

Thks for ur reply,
Sorry for my ignorance, but model 550 is not shown on the original website itself, is it a safe model to buy? Can I pay by SG credit card? on costco?

when you go to that page, do a find for "550" and you will see the model is shown at the bottom......

mine was just delivered to CGW via UPS, kns, took 1 whole week.........but I bought through ebay @ much cheaper price than costco :s22:

Ya...it is happily sucking away now...for brushes, it is pretty easy...I use the provided cleaning tool to brush out hairs and then use the reverse side (that has a small knife) to cut the hairs and then pull them out by hand.

If you are talking abt the hairs that are in the bin, I have to take out all the screws (pretty easy) and I will be able to access the impaler. Pulled it out of the motor shaft to remove the hairs. But normally, nothing should be found here...taking apart the bin also ensure that you are able to thoroughly clean out any dus and dirt that might be trap there...

:s22: that's why i wonder how you all manage to order from hsn.com

hsn.com always reject our credit cards.

Yes, you are right they rejected my credit cards and they say you need a credit card issue in USA. Should call up all the local banks and ask them why their card is not accept for some retail in US.

While at it, did u spray some lubricant into the impeller shaft? U should as the impeller in time to come will generate more noise and resistance as the lubrication dries out.

Thanks..I did...the bin will produce a high pitch screeching sound too if too much dirt is stuck there...

These things are not exactly buy and forget, still require some technical hands on maintenance from time to time. When was the last time there's a WOOT off for Roomba 4XX series? Must have missed the last one ... :s31:
