most of us get from USA which is abt 1/2 price, but of course usa ones no warranty + 110v power adapter. :o

green roomba is not too over-price :o

for scooba, prices a bit too high. :s22:

:s22: green one price is not too far off mah, buy from usa deliver back may cost near to sgd300~

other prices are too expensives, esp scooba. :s22:

How much it sell in PC Show, the $398 one?

the green one is still overpirce i think, still 398?

because the local will only cover batt for 6mths, the overseas will cover for the full period which is 12mths?

during the 6mths they will fidn all sort of excuse not to replace freely or so willingly and then when comes 7th month, anyone can try finding out the local price of batt ..just prepare for a shcok

daylight robbery lar....:s22:

bought from US one got warranty what? just need to send back lor. With that kind of price, I must as well buy 2 sets :s22: 1 for backup lol!

did just that..and surprise surprise no charge came thru for the bots, only the delivery

if ur roomba is spoilt, can pm me :) i can fix it (mostly)

i can attest his quotes are reasonable, but unfortunately hadnt have a chance to try his services and went to ship whole sets replacements in

thats why i have spare new working chargers now, both Roomba and Scooba (if anyone interested)

i almost forgoet to mention, i recommend someone to ship from overseas also, but there seem to be some sort of drastic change in the shipping charges, the charges now are nearly twice mine then! least 40-50% in some cases

turns out some of the retailers have changed packaging formats (maybe due to economy change) and the shippers also change their measuring systems, sorry nothing can be done, so new shipments beware, might get a shcok when they provide the final shipment quotes, but by then too late..the shippers dont do returns they only do receive, returns have to separately arranged by the initialing party and paid separately, i dont know what they will be but i dont think they would be low

so fyi no choice the recent shipment came in was weighted out at somewhere 4-5kg extra and thats a big leap toegther with the 'additional' shipping charges

:s22: PC show selling $398 lor~

or you can wait for woot.com offer, import from usa is cheaper~ :o

but power adapter is 110v and need to use vpost to import back~ :o

Hi Mosmos,
I'm interested to ship in a roomba using borderlinx. But u mentioned only Vpost can ship back due to 110V.
So can I still use Borderlinx?
Thx..

:s22: you can use any forwarder to ship back, such as vpost, comgatway or borderlinx.

all scooba or roomba bought in USA, the power adapter will be 110v. So you will need to get a transformer to convert to 240v, from challenger or hardware stalls, price abt $25 for 100w one. :o

Some will modify the transformer. :s22:

U know hoh, ppl will worry by shipping from so far if there is any problem. So ppl dun mind to pay a little bit more if can get it locally.

Hmmm... how many does ur frens want?

For roomba 535, I can bring it in at 400 + modified 240V charger. But for warranty must send back to USA.

was going back on some earlier posts, if the 530 model can roughly around US$130, then approximately the item could be around SG$200, plus the shipping fees about SG$100, plus assure mod about SG$50, its quite worth get locally

so think if its the 535 brand new it be more even worth
too bad i dont know how or even where to mod i also not sure whats the diff betw the 530 and the 535

anybody knows?
juz send them an email
for me, my shipment mostly is replacement items so its $0
i forward them the delivery order that irobot send out. they will just change the value for me to $1 or $5.. depend on the CSO mood..
cos they cannot enter a $0 value
