If 535 may consider...

Anyway, anyone know is there someone that can help check on my li-ion batt for my discovery roomba which I bought from US? I think the batt is still working but the balancing may be off.

Didnt know u can get Scooba 5900 batteries from SL?!! I believe u can get the replacement cells but not the complete battery. IMO, its not worth the hassle, it'll cost u more than getting a complete battery from US.

Whats wrong with yr Li-Ion battery?

I suspect that it is not holding charge well. Fully charge will just stop after 5 mins. Totally dead. No light, nothing. Have to put back to charger and after like a few mins then it will start to pulse and charge. I dont believe I should just dump this batt....

Looks like u may have some bad cells but the Li-Ion configuration is a little different from the original NiMh battery. They have a few charge controllers to ensure that the cells are better balanced. How long have u been using the battery? Each time for what duration? If u were to dismantle it, test and replace only the bad cells, i'm not sure if its worth the time and $$$. Did u get yrs from Gary/Victor? U might like to PM the seller for suggestions.

Some are third party while some are original. As long as the ebay seller is reputable and the product is sold as advertised, its ok. Dont expect the 3rd party to last as long as (usually not as well balanced) the original. One tip to lengthen the lifespan of your Scooba battery is NOT to STRESS it IMO (yr usage pattern may differ), i.e. used 2 batteries instead of 1. If u have to run 2 cycle each time, use 1 battery for each.

I got from Gary. Pm him already. Vic now holding off new batt it seems as he is busy with the CHM mod. Anyway, Vic batt is high.

Vic's battery may be more $$$ but if u go for the highest capacity he has, u'll get more mileage from them. The thing about Li-Ion is to avoid deep discharge to get as much out of them. I got one high cap from Vic for my Scheduler and now its over a year old, battery is still going strong (used daily, 24/7). Light stays green for about an hour before turning yellow. Very consistent performance since day 1.
