about my new Scooba 380!
BTW if I don't get good comments on parquet with the Scooba I might even change the reno design and switch to homogenous tiles in the bedrooms just to suit the Scooba!

Hi all,
Placed my order for batteries and some accessories with Irobot Store on Tuesday. Checkout using Google and order is accepted. Forwarder is Borderlinx. Just received email from them that order cannot be completed. Anyone got same problem? Any idea why the order cannot be complete?

Just want to hootabout my new Scooba 380!
Just received my Scooba 380 yesterday direct from USA (Ebay). Shipped via FexEx. Took only 6 days from ordering and receiving it! Actually got 2 units... 1 for a friend as well!
I've used it twice so far and I love it!It really works! Can't describe what a wonderful (Gadget/toy) or should I call it household appliance!
I can't figure out or will ever figure out how the movement of the thing works as it works in a unpredictable pattern but it eventually covers every accessible area!
I didn't vacuum the floor before letting this Scooba run about and it sweeps and scrubs every bit of floor. Including long hair. I don't know where the hair has gone... could be in the dirty water or stuck at the brush but I didn't find any hair on the floor afterwards. Will do a Post-Mortum some time.
Just wondering how it works on Parquet flooring. My new place which will start reno next month will have parquet flooring in the bedrooms. Anyone have any comments on this?BTW if I don't get good comments on parquet with the Scooba I might even change the reno design and switch to homogenous tiles in the bedrooms just to suit the Scooba!
Also any other Scooba owners out there... what Cleaning solution do you use as the same one that comes with it isn't available in Singapore? I've heard that 1) Kiwi Kleen 2) Magiclean 3) Clorox (local one) all can work. Any pros and cons of each one?
I hate vacuuming and mopping the floor and with this new TRANSFORMER (robot in disguise). I can forget about that! Now I just hope the thing keeps on running and running!! At least for 52 weeks! Well if it's that easy to use, I'm might run it more than once a week!
BTW my GF calls it Robert!
Makuk!
Hi,
How much did you spend on scooba 380? Have been monitoring woot for half a year. Seems like they do not offer this model yet.

Congrats on your new 380!
For yr Qs:
1) Parquet flooring. I've been using the Scooba on my parquet flooring for years w/o issue. The problem with parquet flooring is the layer of varnish will get worn off in time. In addition, if u have movable items like roller chairs will damage the flooring very quickly. Its also harder to maintain. Unless u must have parquet flooring for aesthetic purposes or if u dont like a cold flooring with aircon switched on, IMO i'll go with homogenous tiles instead.
2) Cleaning liquid: My experience, STAY AWAY from MagicClean. Not sure about KiwinKleen but i'm using a pH balanced liquid called Sunshine D28 with good results. The water pump can be damaged in the long run if u use cleaning solutions that are not suitable for Scooba.
Good luck and take care of your Robert!

hi, my charger spoilt, i replace it and the output DC is abit different
24VDC 2.5A 60W max, is there any problem with that?
I had charge error 2 voice. cannot charge.
Just did a post mortum of the device and found the hair and dirt at the following places:
1) Rollers but not that difficult to clean cause the brushes are far apart and short
2) The hose which can be removed and cleaned
3) The filter which again can be removed and cleaned
4) The inlet of the dirty water tube. Most of the hair and dirt was there. Just a rinse under the tap and the hair ball came out.
Overall easy enough to clean.

Thanks for the advice! Do you know where I can get Sunshine D28 and how much is it?
