Not sure if i remembered correctly, think its about S$8+ at HOMEFIX. Its definitely more expensive than other cleaning detergents but its very concentrated. Used daily, i still have not finish 1 bottle after a year.

Thanks, I will try Homefix later this week. How much to use? The same as the normal Clorex marked amount on the plastic container?

NO!!! Please do not use the same amount as the recommended Clorox solution!!!! This is very much more concentrated. For each cycle, use about 1 (or a little more if u prefer) TEASPOON is sufficient IMO. U can make your own mark on the measuring cup for easy referencing in the future once u are comfortable with the amount based on your usage.

Thanks! BTW what kind of flooring are you using your Scooba on? Do you also have a Roomba? I'm now considering a roomba to do general vacuuming everyday and then use my scooba once or twice a week.

Anyone, any recommendations on which Roomba to get? Does the scheduler and return to base to charge really work? How often do you need to empty the dirt etc a week usually etc?

I'm using Scooba on marble, parquet and ceramic flooring.

Yes, i have Roombas. Getting a Roomba will be useful. Scheduling feature will allow u to program the time for auto cleaning while having a dock will allow Roomba to automatically return to base for charging once the cleaning is done. These functions do work in actual usage.

U can look through the previous discussions on various Roomba models. U can either opt for the older 4XXX series Roombas or the latest 5XX Roombas.

As for emptying the dirt bin based on a daily usage pattern, i do it every 3 days.

Quite the opposite, my place is very dusty. Roomba and Scooba is a daily affair, plus my Roomba has a sidekick called the DirtDevil 15.6V cordless vacuum cleaner. :s22:

Just did a post mortum of the device and found the hair and dirt at the following places:

1) Rollers but not that difficult to clean cause the brushes are far apart and short
2) The hose which can be removed and cleaned
3) The filter which again can be removed and cleaned
4) The inlet of the dirty water tube. Most of the hair and dirt was there. Just a rinse under the tap and the hair ball came out.

Overall easy enough to clean.

I just finished using my Scooba tonight and I noticed the dirty water part didn't have much water inside at all after a complete cycle. The clean water part was empty but the dirty water part only had a little bit of water. What could be the issue? The 1st time I used it after buying it the dirty water part was full and I had to empty the dirty water part as it complained about it.

BTW when I shake the water container part there is a bit of a rattling sound.

Anyone know what I should look out for?:s11:

chey....playing cheat?! lol!

So your cleaning process ish what? just clean the bin that's all? Or also cleaning the brushes or even dismantle the cover etc to clean everything?

Cant help it since there are some areas Roomba cant reach. =:p

For the std cleaninng, i'll empty the bin, clean the filter and use a brush to brush off any hair/dirt trapped at the front wheel, brushes, the surround of the brush deck and the driving wheels. I only perform a thorough cleaning once every 6 months or so (getting lazy).

Did u check

1) The rubber squeegees at the bottom are straight and clean, not torn?

2) The rubber tube in the port (which is removable for washing) is not clogged?

3) If 1 & 2 are ok, u can perhaps try filling the DIRTY tank with warm water. Shake the tank vigourously for a while (careful of water spilling out). Thereafter, pour out the water. U might like to repeat this 1 or 2 times to remove any stubborn stuff inside the dirty tank.

4) If u still cant resolve the issue, try visiting Roombareview to search for anawers or get help.

BTW, the rattling noise u hear is just the float inside the tank. Its normal.

Hi everyone,

I have a 1 month old Roomba 560 base bought directly from USA.

My Home Base suddenly stop working(no power light) today.

Anyone has this problem before and are there any solution for DIY troubleshooting method?

Anyone sent it back to the States for repair, if yes what is the cost for "return ticket".

Thanks and CHeers!

340 is specially made for merchant such as hsn.com which may have diff accessories + colour.

380 is sell buy irobot online store, has an external charger. :o
