That's comgateway. That's why cannot combine with the borderlinx 10% disc. You might want to wait for another week to see if borderlinx comes out with a New year promo. Last year 30% off shipping for CNY and can use unlimitted times.

ohhh CGW hehehe

30% is a lot! Do they start exactly on CNY or days before. My mum waiting for her Irobot :s13:

my irritating disneysnowglobe costed me 100+ to ship because volumetric is 14.89kg :s27::

worse than scooba juice. and just 1 snowglobe. have to wait for the discount then.

Wanted to have this question for Scooba user. My 340 is about 2 years old and after every run of 40 mins, it is left with about 20 min or so, but it will always leave my floor wet with watermark. Anyone has such problem?

Is the squeegee worn or wavy?

Roomba sweeps and vacuum, preferably to vacuum before using scooba as you would not want too much debris to get into scooba's tank.

You can find them in ebay but you have to know how to find as some refurbished unit is sold as new on ebay and it does looks totally new.

Model is 4130. Paid US$134 plus US$50 shipping. If order from US, most likely to be 110V. Mine is. I bought a Newstart 100W stepup transformer from Sim Lim Tower for S$22.

Reason I did not use Vpost is because the Ebay seller I bought from will ship direct. Apparently, she has only a few units for sale. However, you can find similar units on Ebay at roughly the same price.

A word of advice for those getting from Ebay, check out the prices before bidding and also check to see if the item is new, remanufactured or used. The seller i bought from has both new and used. Mine was a new model. When I did a search on prices for the same item from the same seller, I found a huge discrepencies in prices. There were people buying it at over US$200! and others bidding US$150 for a used one!

May get a Scooba in the future if this Roomba works out. As IRobot is phasing in the new models Scooba 350 and 380, it is likely that the 5800 and 5900 values will drop.
U do know that irobot stuffs like roomba and scooba bought from Ebay will have their warranty voided by irobot right?

I bought my roomba from ebay. Warranty will NOT be recognized by irobot. This is stated very clearly on irobot website. Meaning, if the irobot fails in 1 month's time, irobot will not replace it.

One pt to add, theoretically, if the iRobot is not bought from dealer in Sg, there's no warranty in Singapore. You gonna ship it back and kanna lots of charges that doesn't quite make sense. :)

i tink its still better to have both.
scooba internal is hard to clean.
unlike roomba, u can dissemble it and clean the internal easily.

roomba alone, ur floor will be clean but cleaner with scooba.

my floor can look very clean after running the roomba. but if i run the scooba, it can still get me a tank of black coloured water..

for me, if only can chose 1, i would pick roomba.

So what if iRobot warrants the product? You gonna send it back for repair? By bringing it out of the states and using a transformer already voided the warranty. This is also clearly stated :)

Getting it from ebay or other means, so long as you intend to bring back to them, do not let them know it's out of states or you bought it from ebay. They have no means of finding out where you buy it, just state as a gift from someone else.

What I see from scooba brushes is that they are soft bristle and I would not say they really scrubs but I do have to agree my tank of water is also really dirty after using it. It's vacuum is strong too in my opinion but what's the concern is debris inside the tank in the long run unless you do your own vacuuming and scooba does the cleaning.

I really have to agree to that given a choice of either one, I'll also pick roomba as it doesn't requires more human intervention especially with the docking base and scheduling. Preset it, it does it's job automatically dictated by you, returns for recharging and awaiting for it's next mission. All you have to do is empty the bin and cleans it occasionally.

I only have scooba n no roomba yet.

Have 2 and i must say that its a bit tough to always end up in the toilet cleaning the filters after each usage, cleaning the tank etc..... must start to wear clogs in toilet else i think my legs will get feng shi liaoz. hehehee

and then i like to have the place mop instead of vaccum because i find it to be cleaner n able to pick up the tiny dust too. The other day i am running scooba and i can see some dust flying up Zzzzz when it clean a dirty place i forgot to vaccum....

i buy scooba because its tougher to mop the whole house than to do vaccum. I like the concept of it cleaning the floor. Only clean water out and dirty water in.

Its like scrub the dirty tiles with the stronger brush compared to me using mop or 3M fibre cloth. I have stain at toilet n the scooba is able to scrub the stain off compared to me using those toilet "broom"

and one thing to note, if i never clean the dirty tank after use...... its going to smell horrible on the next day! Also happened when i clear the tank but never rinse it once to get rid of any residue.... yikes

if u asked me if i regret buying scooba, then its NOOOoooo. I cannot imagine bringing the mop and walk ard the house mopping the floor. and I dont like Maids. so scooba is the option for me!
