wa rao, the scooba 230 looks damn cute. but wonder how long it can clean before it stops.
Singapore got sell? Need warranty as too risky to get robot from overseas.

Isnt 20 mins the short cycle?
how you press 20mins for old scooba~? or the current cycle is already 20mins~?Any other cheaper brands in Singapore for robot vacumn?
Last time homefix sell those china brands at sgd299~Singapore got sell? Need warranty as too risky to get robot from overseas.
Have not launch yet even in USA, just a sneek preview of the new models now~Last time homefix sell those china brands at sgd299~

I have called to ask, they are not bringing any in for time being. Not sure what's the reason. I am thinking of buying robot directly from China, but risky as no warranty. Cost about S$300++, what if spoil? I noticed a lot of people are buying direct from US.![]()
if you are paying sgd300+ from china, I would suggest you wait for woot.com offer which also add up to sgd300+ including shipping by comgateway/borderlinx

Those China designed "Roomba wannabes" are almost like 1st gen iRobot Roomba (and I do mean 1st gen).I have called to ask, they are not bringing any in for time being. Not sure what's the reason. After careful observation of the video, I'm pretty sure the brushes are stationary.
So it's basically, spray water, spread water using the stationary brush, then suck up dirty water.
- iRobot omitted Stage 1 - light vacuuming floor prep
- iRobot omitted front wheel, so I guess the front brushes act as forward-tilt support
- Seems like a kind of water bag system was deployed to save physical space, such that clean water & dirty water are sharing same space
I find the R&D for this new Scooba is A LOT less than the original design. Probably more focus on speed, light weight & navigation.
No high speed rotating brush = less power consumption
Smaller profile = lighter = less power consumption
in return...
Faster movement to cover area maybe average >4 times, to compensate for the lack of rotating brush
I wonder can this scooba suck in hairs or sands, since the video is shown is use in toilet also~
As mentioned in my earlier post here:I wonder can this scooba suck in hairs or sands, since the video is shown is use in toilet also~
or american toilets are very clean, sg toilets always got hair, sand, strings, whatever~![]()

Of course at this price is not the lastest or highest end model~
But in the mean time, make sure your paypal + woot.com + comgateway/borderlinx account are set correctly~![]()

From the vid, its fast! I wonder how effective the water get suck back at this speed.....
For those who have used before 1st gen Scooba 5900 & 5800 (the slow & metal handle version), it's true that slower moving Scooba tends to suck up more water & floor is dryer. From the vid, its fast! I wonder how effective the water get suck back at this speed.....
When full tank, Scooba runs ~45 mins + 5 mins drying mode. If half tank (500 ml), it'll run 22 mins + 5 mins drying mode. If one drinking cup (250 ml), it'll run 11 mins + 5 mins drying mode. Our current full cycle is 40-45mins, we've got no 20 mins cycle option. U DIY manually, yeah then u have the option of setting the time.
The absence of a rotating brush is another Qs ...
However, it does appear to require less maintenance work.![]()
Mint does not have any brushes AT ALL!!! No spinning sidebrush, no bottom brush pair & no vacuum.http://www.amazon.com/Evolution-Rob...r-4200/dp/B00408PCEW/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
Robotics Mint Automatic Hard Floor Cleaner. Lots of good comments. Seems cheaper than irobot.
