U should run it daily... your floor will be cleaner and there will be less debris after each run.

Thankfully, i dont have so much long hair in my house! :s13:

Hi, you can check from local online vacuum store, they selling quite cheapest than you ship it by own.
So my red color unit is bought from them.

Thanks.

Nice to hear that the lady of your house approves of the Roboking! :D

The quietness can be both a good and a bad thing. Believe it or not, my mom almost crashed right into my Roboking the other day. She was cleaning the table and she's not aware that the Roboking was cleaning behind her. It was scary but almost hilarious to watch as Roboking jammed on the brakes and detoured around her. :s22:

My friend, u've been pawned by Sh*tPost just like me. According to Sh*tPost, the guaranteed delivery date means delivery to Singapore, NOT to your ADDRESS! They will need time to clear the shipment and transfer the package to the local courier. :s27:

Expect another 2 to 3 days!

Might take up to 5 days and only during office hours. Can't change delivery addr to office once the item is shipped. At the end ship from oversea to SG might take less time than ship from SG to SG. :D

After sleeping with them for many yrs I jumped ship ........ why have them between you and UPS/DHL/FedEx?

Sometimes u dont have a choice, at other times its because of a limited budget. The seller ships via EMS, so when it comes to Singapore its handled by Sh*tPost. :( We can probably request the seller to ship via FedEx but the price can be significantly higher.

I know this is a Roomba thread so Roomba owners, please bear with me here. ;)

There are a no. of advantages the Roboking has over a Roomba.

1) It has intelligent mapping. It is able to cover areas that it can go to thoroughly without missing a spot. Roomba on the other hand relies on a random algorithm and it has no idea which areas it has already cleaned. In actual use, a Roomba may cover a particular area many times over while missing others completely. Of course, with the newer Roombas, u can use LHs to minimise that but u'll have to deal with the extra hassle and batteries.

2) Anyone who has owned a Roomba will know that u need to do maintenance to get max longevity from the bot. Dust gets into many parts of the bot. U need to remove the brushes, clean the CHM, use compressed air to get dust bunnies out from the internals, deal with dirty wheel sensors, etc. etc. Well, u dont need to do such maintenance with the Roboking. Its properly sealed in most places and u'll only need to clean the front castor wheel, rear wheels and sensors occasionally. The main driving wheels are cleaned by the rotating side brushes when the bot is in operation. In addition, unlike the Roomba, the main brush and vacuum are located IN FRONT of the driving wheels, so u dont end up having the wheels going through the dirty flooring first.

3) Roboking has BOTH ultrasonic and IR sensors to reduce the chances of colliding into objects. Though the newer Roomba uses IR sensors to avoid collision, its not able to detect smaller obstacles, neither is it capable of sensing obstacles above it.

4) Roboking takes less time to complete its cleaning vs Roomba.

5) Its easier to empty and clean the Roboking's bin and filter vs Roomba's. With a bin full of debris, u'll not accidentally spill out the contents during removal, unlike that of a Roomba.

6) As i've never owned the latest Roomba 7XX model, i cant comment on any difference in cleanliness between the 2 bots.

7) Longer battery lifespan (3 to 4 years claimed) for Roboking vs Roomba. Roomba may be claiming better battery management for the latest model but in actual use, feedback from users are saying that there's no significant improvement. If thats the case, its unlikely u can use it on a daily basis for over 1 year before u need to get a new battery. Roboking uses Li-Ion Polymer which should provide a significantly longer lifespan vs Roomba's NiMh.

8) If u have a large area to clean, a Roomba will not be able to handle. It can only clean as much as its battery allows. The Roboking on the other hand will cover as much as its battery allows and goes back to recharge. Once its fully charged, its able to automatically resume cleaning and cover the areas which has not been cleaned.

If i have left out any other differences, please feel free to add on.

Oh yes... two more advantages:

9) U can attach a mop behind Roboking for dry mopping as it vacuums the floor.

10) The Roboking is able to detect a drop as small as 2cm. So if u have areas like the bathroom which is a little lower than the rest of the house, Roboking will not drop into it. Roomba, Neato, etc. will drop right into these areas. :(

BTW how much you guys spent (per month) on robot for cleaning? If you buy and sell then you have to offset the amount you got back.

For example, if you spent 5k over the last 5 yrs to buy 6 robots but you sold 4 for 2k then the net damage will be $50 per month.
