The red model seems to be very popular!

Congrats on finally getting your Roboking! :)

Anyone bought a different colour? Purple? Blue?

How about the WIFI model?

Got it this morning. I must say I was impressed at the amount of dust collected when I looked into the bin. :o

My mum: "Can throw away the old vacuum liao" :s13:

BTW how much you guys spent (per month) on robot for cleaning? If you buy and sell then you have to offset the amount you got back.

For example, if you spent 5k over the last 5 yrs to buy 6 robots but you sold 4 for 2k then the net damage will be $50 per month.

Huh, how come you can spend so much in Robot vacuum in within 5 - 6 years? Every year do you change new robots like buy new car?

Do you have do the your own weekly maintenance or not?

Mine roomba 560 still using the 2007 factory date ASP Batteries, just someday will stop at side and may used charger for charged it overnight and continue used it.

But looks like Roboking is more advantage and we dunno the upcoming The maintenance fee.

Ha ha..

My roomba 535 is still alive and kicking today except for the yearly batt chg. It is a more hardy machine than I would ever imagine. Hope that bros who bought Roboking will have the same performance and durability. Looking forward to hearing more from you guys before considering retiring my Roomba when it eventually dies ... ;)

Vachel, I m impressed, you are selling all kinds of bots! ;)

Many thanks for the compliment, will try to bring in the best range of robots at the best prices.
The Roboking 6173 (red) is the most commonly owned as the price from korean ebay seller is about $10 cheaper than the Roboking 6174 (Blue), Both with the same functions though. The Roboking 6180 (wifi, black) comes with additional functions like Third eye and communication with your home appliances (available in Korea only) Believe Kimsim put up some nice pics earlier in the thread. :)

That is an example only. Normally I ship in refurbish but the ASP Battery last about a year + only.

I only clean the container, wheel and brush after use. How you keep the bat going for so many years?

Hi, but I am using the OEM battery, the regular maintenance,
Can screw out the bottom plate and clean inside the dust, or cleaning head module, the rest I think not need lah..
What you can see is just pull out the long hairs only.
If you're using the aerovac bin is much easy to empty the bin.

Ya, my OEM batt also last abt 1.5 yrs only.

Kimsim, I think you have too many bots that he doesn't use the same one day in day out, so can last so long? :)

Lady luck must be shining on u... my Roomba battery used on a daily basis is only good for 8 to 9 months. After that, its not able to provide at least 60 mins of run time. :(

Heat is the no. 1 enemy for batteries and NiMh batteries with their required constant topping up creates more heat in the process. Unless someone comes up with an extra large capacity battery, replacement will be a common repeat cycle. Dont bother with trying Li-Ion batteries for the Roomba, the little extra lifespan gained is not worth the $$$ as it does not use an optimised charging system for lithium batteries.

Do you after 3 months have try to used the charger plug-into roomba for charging overnight? To be keep the high capacity?

I have used every trick in the book... including an external rapid charger. No use. As long as u are dealing with NiMh and every run drains down the battery heavily, u can expect a short lifespan. Hence, with my Scooba, i used 2 to 3 batteries each time such that even with deterioration, i can still get usable lifespan from the batteries.
