I really love this comment...
A personal trainer is almost never worth it unless you are in one of those specific situations. Usually 2 situations, you are at the end of all your easy gains and you need someone to push you to the next level, or you have far too much money and not enough time. And you make more money in one hour session than you pay for personal trainer.
The thing is that you don't need a personal trainer if you are willing to make friends. See someone using the machine, just go up to them and ask for help. See someone doing an exercise you want to try? Ask them for tips and help.
I have never turned down someone who ask me to squat better. I've never turned down someone asking for advice. I've never seen the gym staff say no to someone asking for help. I don't think any of the gym rats or powerlifting bros will turn you down or ask you to get out. You'll be surprised at how many of us are just fitness nerds that geek out over body mechanics.
If you are a girl, it's easier can ask everyone, especially other girls for help, if you are a guy, uh, stay away from the girls, better to ask the guys. (can't beat the pervert allegations these days)
Just remember, if you don't know anything, gyming is about learning about yout body. Start small and go slow, don't ego lift. Don't train like you have a bodybuilding contest next month. Train like you've got 5 years because you do, the reason why so many people get hurt is because they constantly push their body, doing 4-5 times a week gyming but for ultimately no real reason. Don't be dissatisfied when yout first year of gyming has almost zero change. Some of the older guys have been gyming for over a decade. They didn't bench 100kg in the first year, it took them years of training.
