You never encountered before? Once started working, boss will:

Call for team meeting at 5pm on a Friday. Talk a lot until 6pm, then give work tasks assignment say it is due next Monday before 12noon.

What does it mean? Simply, unspoken but you will need to work during weekend to complete work tasks.

I get hr to set interviews from 4pm. Reason being clear bulk of the work first.

Plus it's towards end of the day, mood better and interviewing is less taxing unless the candidate piss me off.
