my 80 year old dad was encouraged to sign up for an AI course by the salesperson. i was like... huh??

i only found out because he wanted to check the venue and needed help checking his email. i asked, if you don't know where your email app is, how did you register? he said the salesperson did everything for him.

the email included that a laptop is required for the course. firstly, he did not know it was a requirement. secondly, he does not have a laptop or know how to use one.

i believe the salesperson had omitted these crucial information just to get the sale. took over his phone to register on his behalf knowing that he doesn't even know how to use it.

told him it's all sponsored by the government and he just needs to pay $10 for admin charges.

There's pressure to increase sales while receiving fewer benefits, and the managerial staff are often deceitful, gossip behind employees' backs, and make working in the company very challenging. No career developments given only just like robot

They do provide laptop if you don't have, don't need buy.

Attended a course from them because of workplace requirement. Quite decent lah.
But 80 years old, don't know what he can learn.

My course had 1 60+ unker, he said he retire liao, just take the courses to kill time

Government give every citizen skillsfuture credits.

These new "academies" are eyeing everybody's skillsfuture credits.

Salesperson who work in these "academies" are to hit sales target given by these "boss".

So as long as they can close sales, get commission, hit sales target, they are safe, job secured, and won't care what ethics or not.

If don't close, boss aimed them. Out of job. No money put food on table.

So, for a salesperson to survive, money or ethics can put food on the table?
