My mom recently changed hers to induction. She said once u get the hang of it then its gd to use. Best ish easy to clean so its like close to zero maintenance compared to gas hobs. But cons ish can only use those s/s base cookware kind.

Something like this and best part dun have to choose specific cookware to use on it. Heck you can literally BBQ over it.

instead of using cheaper gas, induction is just using lots of more expensive electricity to heat things up. but indeed electricity is faster in heating. your money, your choice.

gas still the best.

gas is cheaper than induction. electricity bill might increase in the future also.
gas is also easy to clean.
gas suitable for stir fry

the cons
-check for gas leak
-not suitable for windy kitchen
-slower for boiling/steaming

reference
Cost of using gas stove 10 years = $900 + $260~$480 (stove/hob+maintenance)
Cost of using induction 10 years = $1425.6 + $120 (3 x induction cooker)

Gas cookware not easy to clean if you cook for long time say 2 - 3 hrs. Because LNG gas is never clean in the first place. After a long time of cooking you'll find the pot/pan turn brownish

Induction cooker don't have this issue because no gas involved

easy to clean... i referring to the gas hob.

i never encounter brownish....
then i more concern inside than outside. lol

fyi, the non stick coating degrade faster when use on induction cooker.

If your cooking area has poor ventilation, using a gas hob is not recommended as the fumes from the combusted gas can be detrimental to your health.

Induction cooker boils water very fast as compared to the traditional flame and it's much easier to clean + maintain too.

I had been using induction cooker for more than 15+ years and never look back ever since.

induction is good, cleaner and safer

i don't see a difference in the food taste cooked between stove and induction

all these talk about simi 'wok hey' missing form induction is rubbish, you also can't get 'wok hey' from that small fire stove
