when r u going? im going in Nov too! for 4d3n just to watch a concert!

hopefully someone can advise on buying won in sg or in seoul... but according to a blog which i read, this lady mentioned that the rate in incheon airport is better than sg's... quote 'We changed most of it in Singapore at a rate of S$1 to 862Won. However, when I arrive at Incheon Airport to change more money, the rate is S$1 to 935won!'... she went in 2009... not sure how true isit now thou...

i would suggest to bring more won as the things are not as cheap as i initially thought (been there in aug this yr).. definately bring more if u're going to buy the facial products... its REAL CHEAP!

They don't do SGD-WON currency conversion there for you. So IF you intend to change to WON, you need to bring USD over. Suggest you change what you need in sg to WON then bring some USD over as some places they accept USD cash as well.

Using Credit card is last choice since there's dual exchange rate involved. WON-USD-SGD

if you want to change money in korea using sgd, you can go to the banks in myeongdong. banks like shinhan and woori.

however, it seems like the rates are way better in sg than in seoul throughout my stay in korea..not sure if it is still the same..or maybe cos banks have lower rates :)

yes, they do accept SGD.

in any case, the rates are compatible in Korea too. So no need to worry. You can always go to their banks which have competitive rates too. Unlike SG.

Exchange SGD to KRW in Seoul

came across this outdated thread, just wondering if now is still the same... Are we able to exchange SGD to KRW in Seoul?
Can we get better rate there?
It's falling everyday!

Just a general note,

currencies that are "strong" have value everywhere and are able to be changed everywhere.

such currencies are: SGD, EUR, GBP, USD, HKD, JPY.

of course there are many more. but these are the few currencies thats recognised almost everywhere to change
