Is it normal for this to happen?

I recently got a laptop
Spec:
i7-9750h
GTX 1050 4GB
8GB RAM

I've tried to play CSGO but i'm always getting lag spike and unstable fps,even if i changed the graphic+resolution to low,it still remains the same,unstable fps and lagspike,i have updated all the drivers but it's still the same,any advice?

Try to check if there’s latest BIOS update frm your laptop manufacturer. Also ensure you’re running the latest Nvidia game ready driver

does this happen in other games?

maybe try reinstalling the game

Yep the BIOS and the nvidia driver are up to date,still dk why is this happening

What is the laptop model? And are you playing games with the laptop drawing power from the mains or battery?

In laptops, I expect some throttling to happen resulting in fluctuating performance.

are u certain that it's a graphics problem or network problem? Is web surfing and other online shooter games fine?

the laptop model is ASUS X571GD,i'm plugged in while gaming

Just a thought,... can you test the game when the laptop is cold,.. then see how long it takes to happen? If it takes time then its down to thermal throttling!
