Removal depends on many factors ... most usually due to unacceptable commentary. Not just because of one such post, but several, which would mean the thread is encouraging such comments.

So, one shouldn't push their luck
You never know who's reading on the other end.
It shouldn't be judged on what you feel is okay, but one has to think if it's acceptable to others in general, like your IRL friends/colleagues/family.

Even for EDMW, you've different levels of participants - from super avid users to silent readers. And you'll be surprised at how many people are actually reading silently. So don't assume what is written in EDMW is only for those avid EDMW participants.

There are different ways to convey certain matters - i.e. being rude and crude vs. being eloquent and clear. So it's not about us being suppressive, but it's about how the content appears to others.

Lastly, we're also aware of some folks who are just not content/happy with anything and everything and will report on frivolous matters. Rest assured we don't blindly action on 'complaints' and 'reports'. It has to have some merit.
