Is it possible a PSU can cause CPU errors?

I had some freezes and reboots so I ran Prime95 overnight and woke up to see that one of the worker threads reported an error.

So I brought this one week old CPU back to the shop and they said they will test for me. The guy just called to say there were no problems.

I already did a Memtest86+ already and my rams were ok. Also changed graphics card. Only thing left is the PSU, which is a Corsair 750W, about 2-3 years old.

Is it possible this PSU is causing the CPU errors?

There's no overclocking. Even tried disabling Intel boost in BIOS already.

1st update your mamaboard to latest version.
2nd check with corbell or pm clon22

Actually, I brought my motherboard to Corbell this morning and they tested it with no problems, even did a one-to-one exchange for me. I asked if they can help me test again using my CPU but they said cannot.

After that I went down to SLS to get the CPU tested.

Gonna collect it after work then go home test the new board.

But do you think a PSU can cause CPU to have errors?

Thanks, looks like I'll have to make a trip down to Convergent tomorrow to get it checked

It is possible If theres intermittent problem when the Psu cannot supply steady flow of current. If the psu just stop the current for a sec and back again cfm restart. If not enough power cfm freeze.

By the way, my Corsair PSU says the warranty is by Corbell, but seems like Convergent is now handling this brand. Does anyone know if I should go to Convergent or to Corbell?

It seems that the PSU is not the problem, but the rams.
I just switched to my spare rams and OCCT ran fine for 1 hour.

Going to test Prime95 overnight.

This may mean that memtest86 is not a 100% way to prove whether the rams are faulty or not.
