is it good? last time heard got quite a lot of negative feed back like lousy aircon, poor service for econ passengers...

hows it now? any experience to share, see mostly here is take ana, sq one

maybe couple of years back they were really bad shape financially that's why standard drop. But last I heard they are on a recovery now? So service level hopefully will go back up.

Frankly SIA is getting pretty crappy especially if its an older plane. The last 2flights I took, one seat had a metal cover for the armrest missing, the other seat had the a faulty entertainment system.
Thats just the hardware, the service standards of SQ varies widely from flight to flight.

Agreed too on it older fleet it equipment like don't replace or repair
It seat hander rest is broken

But Even ANA got older smaller fleet too it domestic one and it looks old but. No a single is broken

No fuss standard airline. But I don't know is it only happens to American airlines only, i feel the security check is excessive.

took JAL in Jan 2013 on their dreamliner (before it got grounded)

service wise really top notch.

my Missus even had a bday song and a bday gift for her during the flight. (we didnt request)

the dreamliner is really good too.

they are really attentive and if you are awake through the flight, they will always be constant lookout for your needs, drinks / snacks/papers etc.

juz got back from JAL flight on tuesday. nothing wrong, good movies (but still cannot compare with Delta), comfy ride, but breakfast was not very nice (bread and soup and fruits). But I took it because they are the only ones still allowing 2x23kg baggage checked in.

Took JAL before, much better than ANA. On par or slightly better than SQ. I like their mini bar concept

both ANA n JAL will be on dreamliner
so not mich diff
just go for the airline u support
and enjoy the trip

ANA still got my business as got the best time
