sometimes they dont weigh. if you are unlucky, remove 500g and ask them weigh again.

wear your warm jacket if you are bringing. put your small but heavy items like powerbanks in your pockets.

I have been flying with jetstar at least 6 trips each year ...
have seen the self check in counter, they have stationed a guy there.
just to weigh ur luggage and ensure your self check in is smooth ..

normally would go to the counter, so that no need to print out tickets yourself.
the older auntie staff super strict, they confirmed would weigh your staff ...
better hope that you wont go to the older auntie counter to get ur boarding pass ...
the younger ones, out of 6 times, around once or twice they didnt weigh out hand carry ...

From my experience, Tiger (10Kg) & AA will surely weigh if u r handcarry cabin luggage, Jetstar is yes & no..

split some load out from your backpack to a small slingbag.

that would do the trick while weighing during check-in

since the auntie so niao, u open your backpack.

put on all the clothes for your trip. sweater, inner clothes, coat etc..

if all these dont work.

take out your iphone start video her, ask her why, ask her name, ask her what is jetstar policy and all..

think should be ok.

So far my travel with jetstar was good ...
mostly managed to go to the younger staff counter ...
travel with friends, so we share our luggages, would be within the weight limit...

if she dare to charge you for 60sgd, means you over your handcarry weight limit. her reason is valid ...
