Is Kindle Worth Buying?

Not sure which version to get, there is old and kindle fire....

Is it possible to move PDF files into kindle?
or read light novels from Log Horizon: Volume 1 - Baka-Tsuki

it's basically free books for life. and skip the pdf cuz conversion usually screws up the formatting. there's plenty of .mobi floating around the net

If you want to read pdf, get kindle fire. 7" enough for text. But for magazine, or read manga and you dont want to zoom in, get bigger size.

Great for books, sucky for pdf files. I used to read my lecture notes in uni on my kindle, loved the over-the-air file transfer where I could just send the lecture notes to my kindle email and it would appear in my kindle via wifi.

But pdf formatting sucks.
