Is Microsoft Surdace Go 2 good?

Thinking of getting the 4gb one. Strictly for Microsoft words, excel, PowerPoint, surfing net etc.

Portability is a must.

Why would you recommend?

I feel if you are only surfing web, it is a good choice as it is sleek and lightweight. I am also currently choosing between this and hp touchscreen laptop. The only concern about surface is the screen resolution. It looks nice, lightweight and really portable

If you don't care how it looks, I'm sure for can get better spec from Lenovo or others.

4gb of ram you won't be doing much with it. Like opening too many tabs or a few programs and the comp will drag.

I assume the cpu is low end, like worst than i3. That's not what I would recommend.

The 4gb version I saw online has only 64gb ssd. That's so small.

My approach to getting Microsoft made laptops is you better have a big budget for them. If you get the lowest / cheapest, you won't get any performance out of it.

what do you mean by portable? different people have different meaning of portable.

For eg, to some people legion 5(2.3kg) is portable.

Tell us, so that we can recommend other models to you, cuz this surface is really very bad for its price.

If purely just for office and surfing net it is definitely sufficient. Also take note it runs on windows 10 S mode, may not take full functionality but. Sufficient for your need

the 4gb/64gb is actually using eMMC storage. Not SSD.

eMMC is extremely slow which makes the 4gb/64gb a big NONO.

Top up a bit and get the 8gb/128gb or dont buy at all.

yes but for windows, best to get ssd. i've tried the 64gb in stores, saw youtube reviews and it's really slow, even on the non full windows version. if u really have to get this, go for the m3 but tats quite close to SP7 price liao. in short, don't bother.
