Some China experts here still have this impression that China is mostly in farming and super run down.

It’s like Indonesia have great shopping centers and luxury resort, while sg have some homeless people. Every society will have different facets, seeing this won’t make other things unreal.

you want objectivity, there are net tourism and net migration pattern, gdp per Capita and purchasing power parity, but is this relevant to this thread?

if I’m going Korea to see cherry blossom, their education saga of teacher suicide wouldn’t be relevant to my holiday. And if I enjoyed my holiday, doesn’t mean the saga is untrue
