Tried to boot up today, my really old c2q system with 8800gt. System posts fine (can heard it booting into windows and initialising the Windows sound) but screen shows this:

Picture: http://prntscr.com/ao4qql

It was built using the specs >>

Has been going strong for a few years but not sure if this means that the GFX card has decided to retire?

Any advises on a cheap card that I can get? No longer play any games these days, so a budget card is good enough...

Thanks and appreciate any assistance!

why not a new gt610, for under $80, or the hd5450 for about $60 I don't think can beat that for cheap, and works. might still be able to play csgo.

Yep, that screenshot looks like the 8800GT kee chiang liao, your best and cheapest route now is to go to the 2nd hand/Garage section here and the blue forum to look for a good and cheap replacement.

According to Fuwell pricelist, Sapphire HD6450 1GB DDR3 - $58. You might find some cards are even cheaper than this in Carousell or bazaar.

Thanks for the reccomendations guys!

Yup my old DFI mobo doesn't have any integrated gfx.

This setup is from 2009/2010, so don't think they have the gfx chip embedded in the cpu like they have it now for the Intel processors.

Does a low range nvidia card (e.g. 610 gts) beat out its competitors from ATI at the below 100 price point?

Looking to get it from Lazada as have no time to go down to SLS to get it :(

Oh yes, forgot to mention that I run a dual monitor setup with this rig (dual Dvi) on 8800gt, so any suggestions for a card with these slots would be much appreciated!

I even gave away cards faster than your 8800 and that 6450... So how much you think old GPU cost second hand?
