My computer is quite old.. Q9550

The gfx is relatively newer ASUS 560Ti, but it seems to be dying. Artifacts, especially if I try to play any games which will hang the computer. I am usually able to ctrl-alt-del to get out.

There are times, when artifacts also appear on normal desktop when I open Firefox... or forward a video to where there are 'noisy' scenes. i.e explosions all over.

p.s this is on start up when the system hardly have time to get hot.

So, can I conclude the gfx is the culprit and I should get a new one?

Yeah... I am aiming for that 7870 ($150). Just that it's opening hours is normal office hours, not sure if I can make it there in time.
