The rest of your specs still can last for a year. But your gpu is outdated. Hard for it to play modern games in ultra. Unless u are ok with low.

TS, i personally advise u to keep your 2600k for as long as possible

because for now, 2014 era, it is the cheapest relatively new desktop cpu exceeding 3ghz that anyone can grab hold of, which still has hyperthreading, which is very valuable for intense scientific/computation and video encoding, and which has very good thermal performance and overclockability

if u look at mktplace there is this guy who is trying to snap up all the 2600k and 2600nonk. this alone shows u how valuable the 2600k is. whatever u do, always keep at least 1 copy of 2600k+mobo as personal backup spare parts
