Sifu photographer: use optics, lighting, camera, knowledge, editing to take good photos

Newbie photographer is more making use of phone and use AI for touch up

I am more of a serious photographer and my wife a newbie. Now gap has closed. My wife is good because she is good at composing photos so in the end, outcome is better

Don’t forget! Photo eventually tells a story

Traditional photography was always a niche hobby. I would say photography is more alive than ever thanks to social media. Mirrorless cameras are flying off the shelves. Many kiddos have sony FF cameras. Even as a working adult and an avid photographer, I cant bear the thought of spending 5k on a sony system. I am content with fuji system.

If you have use for the camera, then get it.

It doesn't matter whether others think photography is dead or not. It's not by the way.

Sold my DSLR away last yr and just stick with a 1 inch sensor compact.
Might consider mirrorless at some point when I have more time to roam around.

If FF is too exp, you can consider apsc camera instead... the price is alot lower and the gear is way smaller and lighter too. the photo quality also wont lose to the one taken with FF camera too.

Was previously on the Nikon apsc system.
As I get older, lazy to carry the system around.

Probably will go with mirror less instead as the noise performance has improved a lot over the years since their introduction.
