Is the 2GB data plan enough ?

Im about to recontract and get an iphone 5.

Just wondering if 2GB is enough for iphone usuage in 1 month.

Do you guys usually exceed and have to pay more?

Use for normal facebook, twitter, whatsapp. Never tether to computer. Is it enough?

I downloaded pdf straits time news via wifi.. and do not watch youtube video, do not stream video... and also use for facebook, surf net, whatsapp, imessage, sending picture via whatsapp and imesssage sometimes, etc..

and my usage for last 2 months is ard 2.2GB per month..

therefore not enough..

Download onavo extend. Help push the data usage down. At least it works for me. Ever since I started using, my data usage is around 1.8-1.9gb. Still risky though.

It's enough for me, I update most apps on wifi, never stream video or music, use LTE for emails, web browsing, games, Dropbox for work documents, whatsapp, wechat, Skype, im+, Facebook, twitter, flipboard, pulse etc and have never exceeded 2GB

Last month I used 380MB nia. Maybe because I too scared of exceeding.

As long as no YouTube/stream videos, no tether, no data heavy stuff like excessive 13MP photos or super thick PDFs etc, 2GB is sufficient.

That said, I stream quite a few videos on my 4S weekly (using the 12GB plan), my data usage only about 1.8GB - 2.4GB with other regular stuff like web browsing and whatsapp.

I use iMessage/WhatsApp/Tweetbot/Facebook/Safari/Instagram pretty heavily everyday, seldom stream videos on LTE/3G, average about 1.5gb for the last 3 months. Although, I now login to my home's wifi whenever I'm at home.

Been sending emails with PDF files attached recently, data usage is at 3gb now. Still got 12 more days to a new mth for me. Which is also the 12th mth. Supposed to get a new phone one leh!!!

Plus even if I have games I'll play over wifi.

Monthly around 2GB plus. Max i go is 4GB on a 3GB plan.

the 2gb isn't enough for me.

last time 3g I spent then same amount of time wait for pages and data to load.

Do you plan to stay on 3G always and buying phones with no contract? I am on 3g 12gb and like you have no plans to re contract. Bought my ip5 without contract though.

I will not recontract anymore and just buy from Apple directly. Or Singtel. Or Nubox/Epic etc.
