Hi guys, it's very confusing for me... is the forex market open now? how do i check it? I tried searching in google and got very confused.. i also download the ninja trader but the chart is not moving which make me thing the market is closed now/today?

G10 FX markets are open from 7am Wellington time on Monday morning, through to 5pm New York time on Friday afternoon. They're usually most liquid from 8am-5pm London time, and they're usually least liquid in the window between 5-6pm NYC. Some brokers and market-makers actually pull the plug on their systems in that 5-6pm window, but the market's still technically open.
Some local markets only trade for a few hours a day - for example, KRW is only tradeable from 9am to 3pm Seoul time (though non-deliverable forwards are tradeable 24/5).
Public holidays are a bit weird, and it depends a bit on your broker as to whether or not you can trade on a given public holiday. For example, Christmas Day is a holiday in every G10 market except Japan; so some brokers will shut down entirely; some will stay open until Tokyo goes home for the day; and some particularly crazy ones might stay open even later than that, just with very very wide spreads.
