i have a HP Pavilion 500-135d with 300w psu
can i upgrade the graphic card to evga gtx 750 ti?

Change the PSU to a 450 watter. OEM PSUs are usually of bad quality and that PSU may not even produce 300W.

No, you need a 1.2kW power supply to run it. Those graphics card without PCIe power connector actually need way more power than those with it, like how GTX750 (no connector) need 1000W more power than GTX770 (got connector)

Lesser power connector = more power needed
