Is there something wrong with my PSU?

This few days, I have been facing this problem. My desktop, after shutdown, it is not able to boot up again. I know it is something to do with power supply, but not able to pin point. It is totally no power at all. I have tried changing the wall power socket, changing the multiplug and plug direct, and changing the power cord, plug in pug out the power cord from the PSU. Sometimes, it boot immediately after I change to another socket, or after I change to another multiplug, but sometimes I will have to unplug it from the PSU and plug it back again.

Is it the PSU itself something wrong?

I got this dekstop from PCT in March. Is it better to bring to them to troubleshoot? Headache... not driving, headache......

Pluck out the power from the hdd. Try with another same connector. And try again.

Maybe I am not clear.

It is not HDD no power, or screen shows nothing, it is whole machine no power. The power LED in front is not lighted, and the PSU fan is not moving.

Just try. I had the same issue on my 2 rigs before the current one. Pc totally cannot on. Found out the power supplied to the hdd is not supplied. Causing the system unable to turn on. Change the next connector it works like a charm. Found out that the power supplied to hdd is also intermittent.

sounds like a bad Power Supply

Before you go to PCT, just reattached all the cables, especially those ptlug directly to the mobo.

Happened again just now. Cant boot, changed cable, wall socket, changed multiplug all no use. I open up casing wanted to changed the cable to hdd only to find out that the pct tech left very little allowance, i cant change at all.

I gave up n closes casing. Then changed socket one last time, n it worked! But now, it boot up upon i on the wall socket without pressing the on button in front.

It is psf bundled with nxzt, can i still go back to pct for them to check n rma?

If psu is working, there is fan inside psu n we can feel right? Mine is totally no action in psu at all.

PSU will not power on if there is no load.

hmmm, i see. ok i shall try when it happened again.

I think I found the culprit. It is the 7-ports USB hub that I bought off DX.com, with external power plug for power input. Whenever I plug in with the external power on, the power will appear, but gone once I turn off the external power. I have since remove the power, since it seems to be working without external power.
